No surprise early

Villanova handled UCLA very easily today.

UCLA was not without it's highlight though. Josh Shipp contributed a fine 18 points to lead the Bruins but they couldn't seem to find a rhythm offensively. Only 10 team assists is not the way to get to the sweet 16 for any team, especially when your opponent nearly doubles that statistic. Nova had 6 players in double figures paced by Dante Cunningham with 18. The only starter to not score in double figures was Shane Clark who apparently slacked for only 8 points...I kid.

Villanova awaits the winner of today's later match-up between the Texas Longhorns and the Blue Devils of Duke.
