Day Two Introduction

Here we go folks. Day two is underway in the NCAA Tournament. The first set of games is as follows:

14th seeded Stephen F. Austin takes on 3rd seed Syracuse. The Orangemen have been playing their best basketball of the season at the exact right time and should have no trouble with SFAU in this one.

9th seeded Tennessee battles 8th seeded Oklahoma State. This should be the best game early as both teams have been a little up and down all season. The teams seem to be evenly matched and I am looking forward to keeping my eye on this one.

Another interesting game which could have a perennial power school on upset watch is number 3 Kansas versus 14th seeded North Dakota State. NDSU is one of those senior heavy smaller schools that could prove to be dangerous around this time of the year. This is their first year of tournament eligibility and I am sure they will make this first round contest quite a game.

The fourth game early on is 11th seed Utah State against 6th seeded Marquette. This looks pretty lopsided on paper as the Golden Eagles have been a highly ranked team all season. We must remember that one of Marquette's best players (James) is injured and that could be a factor against a hungry mid-major.

Enjoy early action, updates to come.
